Isle Of Skye

Scotland is as of now, my all time favorite place I have traveled! More specifically the hot new tourist spot of Isle of Skye! I really have nothing against the blistery cold winter days so when my husband informed me of a month long trip we were taking to Europe during December/ January I couldn't be more excited! Tanden had a business trip to Ethiopia so I decided to go visit my dear friend Clare.

I began my journey is Glasgow, which I will write about a bit later on. Clare is from Isle of Skye so after staying a few days in the cite we took a train ride then a ferry to Skye. If you take the train ride you can see the Glenfinnan Viaduc bridge which was in the Harry Potter Movie.  It was the most breathtakingly moody scenery and I LOVED it! Skye is famous for some intense hiking in the Cullins, the Ferry Pools, The best Scotch bar (Clare shoutout to your family's bar!!) , and basically just sight seeing. Going during the off season turned out to be one of the biggest plusses.

The normally crowded sites were all ours! Allowing for what I like best a bit of shenanigans, like sneaking into a castle! Many things were closed but that didn't seem to matter with my own personal tour guide! Clare was such an amazing host, taking me all around her beautiful country.

There is no doubt in my mind that I will be back to this picturesque land and hopefully soon!
