This Pico de Gallo recipe is my go to addition to any Hispanic food dish! It is very simple to make with six ingredients, and about 5 minutes of chopping. This recipe has been a family favorite, that my parents made throughout my childhood. I love making it in the summer months to snack on before a meal or with a nice cold mojito. Check out this traditional pico recipe below!

PICo de gallo

Prep Time: 5 Minutes

·      1 Sweet  Onion

·      3 Tomatoes

·     1/4 cup Cilantro

·      1- 1/2 Lime (depending on preference)

·    Salt to taste

·   Jalapeño to taste

 1.   Slice onion, tomatoes, cilantro, and  jalapeño.

2.   Mix together in bowl.

3.   Squeeze lime and add salt.

4. Taste and adjust as needed!

Additional Notes

With the  jalapeño if there are small children or adults who are sensitive to spice I will just add in a few for taste but cut very small as to not be over powering.

I LOVE my pico with these chips HERE !  I grab them locally at Safeway (not sure if they have them in other states, I could never find them when I lived in California)

I hope  you enjoy this simple Pico de Gallo recipe as much as I have!
